These are some pictures from the 4th grade Immigration day, where they picked a character of a certain nationality, dressed up and had to go through "immigration" at Ellis Island, just to get a feel for what the original US immigrants had to go through.

Here is Jaron, dressed in green, waiting in line to be called. She chose the part of an Irish immigrant, more specifically a mother with three children, whose husband had died on the journey to America.
