On our way to the Batu Caves, we made a stop at a batik factory/showroom as well as a chocolate factory/showroom. Here is a pic of the kids watching a master batiker (is that a word?) do his thang...
Then one more essential stop before reaching the caves - we stopped at the Royal Selangor pewter factory/showroom. This was really fascinating, actually. There was a guide to meet us and take us through the small museum explaining the history of pewter mining in Malaysia. Then we hit the factory floor where there were some live demonstrations and then the showroom where did not, of course, come away empty handed. Below are the kids dressed in traditional Malay attire. Davis and Stevii are royalty (Stevii realized later that she was wearing the skirt backwards) and Jaron is a common factory worker. Note the fine New Balance tennis shoes that they wore back in the day...

I knew the dress was on backwards.
