Picture after picture lined the bulletin boards in this classroom - men, women and children. There were pictures of torture victims as well. It was heartbreaking and unthinkable that people could be so cruel and heartless to another human being. But I guess this is not the first time in history this has happened...

Even children were among the prisoners.

Prisoners all wore stocks around their ankles. They had to sleep alternately on opposite sides of the bar in order to fit. Ridiculous rules were put in place, such as having to ask permission to go to the bathroom or even move. They had to lay perfectly still, were not allowed to contradict or question interrogators. Their only crimes were being educated or holding a decent job or belonging to the family of someone who was...
